The fit

Fitted in, not added on

Every food asks something different of a fibre. Describe yours, and the Finder scores all five against it, with the reasons a formulator would give. Then size the claim, and browse where each fibre is already at work.

Fibre Fit Finder

Describe the food, see all five scored

No fibre is hidden and none is crowned. Each gets a score, a label and its reasons, and the cautions are spelt out. Scores are a starting point; the JJD lab turns them into a formula.

Scores combine category fit, goal fit and the penalties your pH, heat and serving size impose, on a 0 to 100 scale. Strong fit is 75 and above, good fit 55, possible 35. Below that the card says why.

How many grams does the claim need

FSSAI sets the threshold per 100 g or 100 ml. Enter the serve and what the recipe already has, and this works out the FIBREDEX® grams to add, what a consumer would take in a day, and how that sits against each fibre's comfort ceiling.

Daily intake against each fibre's comfort ceiling, if one fibre carried the whole claim

Thresholds from the FSSAI Advertising and Claims Regulations, 2018. Ceilings are typical tolerance figures from the literature: inulin 10 g, polydextrose 90 g, resistant dextrin 50 g, XOS 10 g, GOS 8 g a day. Confirm the live regulation text for your category before printing.
